What Non-Medical Means

Non-medical care means we focus on daily life, not medical treatment. We help with the everyday things that keep someone comfortable and independent at home: bathing and grooming, meals and housekeeping, companionship, errands, and friendly reminders for medications and appointments. We do not provide nursing or medical services, and that is exactly the point. Our role is to make everyday living easier, safer, and warmer for your loved one.

Teresa Sweet | Founder & Administrator

Sweet Legacy Care Services was founded by Teresa Sweet, whose path into home care began in the homes of the seniors she cared for. For more than three years, Teresa supported seniors living with all kinds of conditions, including dementia and limited mobility, and along the way something meaningful happened: clients began asking for her by name. That trust told her she had found her calling, and it inspired her to open an agency of her own so she could bring that same dependable, personal care to more families across the Houston area.


Teresa built Sweet Legacy Care Services on a simple belief: every person deserves to age with dignity, independence, and kindness in the comfort of their own home. As a family-owned and Black-owned agency, we take the time to understand each client as an individual and treat them with the patience and respect we would want for our own loved ones. Our care is non-medical and always personal, giving seniors the support they need day to day, and giving their families real peace of mind.
